Fort Wayne nonprofit to connect interpreters with service providers

A new online resource will allow health care providers, legal services and others to access contact information for local, trained interpreters, officials announced Wednesday.

The Language Access Lab is launching the Community Hub for Language Access project with partial financial support from an $8,900 grant from the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation.

The Hub will include a searchable interpreter directory, a resource library and collaborative platforms to help local organizations reduce their reliance on untrained staff or children for interpretation, a news release said.
